Our network of motivated, driven, smart and curious peatland ECR was formed in the beginning of the 2020 pandemic, where all academic life came to an abrupt halt. When everyone, including collaborators on the other side of the globe as well as lab partners, suddenly seemed far and unreachable, the need for connection and knowledge exchange brought this network of peatland enthusiasts to life.
